I know that when you’re at your wit’s end – nothing makes sense.

Why is he acting like this?

Why doesn’t she understand my perspective?

Why does this keep happening?

I’ve been told that my greatest gift is having the insight and quick ability to help people like you finally make sense of the problems that have long plagued your relationships. Not only your current relationships but also the ones of the past, and even the one you have to yourself.

In my experience of connecting to tens of thousands of people, from couples, to families, to teenagers, and all gendered individuals, I know exactly how it is to feel exhausted, stuck, and like you can never find the words or root causes as to why you’re in conflict with someone you care about or love.

With a doctorate degree, deep clinical background, and multiple certifications in trauma, addiction recovery, and forensic counseling, I’ve developed an empathetic, welcoming, and direct approach to helping you finally discover that clarity.

For me, this gift was born and shaped through pain, too. In fact, like many of those I help, I’ve personally experienced, endured, and endeavored to make sense of a lifetime of serious trauma, abuse, and relationship crises going all the way back to being born in the Bronx, NY to a self-medicating teenage girl who “wanted something of her own to love her.”

In fact, after decades of strife, countless foster homes, and, thankfully, some pivotal mentors along the way, I chose to be known by just the singular name “Nakumbe” – one way to reclaim my story and worth as an adult.

So, though our stories may be different I do know the complexities of life; both those we create and so many that are thrust upon us.

More importantly, I’ve also developed the tools, insights, and support needed to navigate it more peacefully. And that’s why I do this work; why I coach couples to find “relationship relief,” why I speak to audiences around the world; to make a brighter tomorrow seem more possible, and why this gift of mine must be shared.

I do this because I want you to be able to breathe again; to feel the relief, clarity, and calm that comes from finding answers, causes, and direction for your life and relationship.

And with sharp insight and strong support – whether or not you choose to stay together as romantic partners, I want you to know that you each deserve to live more joyful, peaceful lives.

Using my decades of experience and evaluating circumstances from every angle, I know it’s possible to make sense of things, to understand “why” so you can finally dream about, “what’s next?” And when you have the support and insight you need to grow forward in all your relationships, including the one you have with yourself, that’s the real peace that love can bring.

So that’s what I’m here to make possible. If you’re ready to change your future by making sense of today and yesterday – let’s, get to the heart of it, together.
